OUR STORY
FERMAR TRANSPORT & EQUIPMENT is a family-owned and operated business. We have over 60 years of experience in the transportation and logistics industry. Today in the US, we provide services through a variety of means. FERMAR TRANSPORT & EQUIPMENT is our parent company through which we provide asset-based transportation services. Additionally, we have increased our service capacity through Pegasus Intertransport, our affiliate company which works with talented owner-operators and investors to increase our fleet capacity. Lastly, through FM Transport Brokerage, we partner with respected and reliable carriers to ensure full-service, timely delivery without being limited by our on-site capacity. OUR HISTORY
Our trajectory in the transportation industry began in 1956 when Mr. Manuel Lozano Barraza opened his trucking business, AutoTransportes de Carga SA de CV, in Reynosa, Tamaulipas. After years of experience working with his father as an adolescent, young adult, and a mechanical engineering graduate, Fernando Cesar Lozano Rodriguez, our founder and executive director, decided to open a sister company along with his wife, Blanca Leticia Gutierrez, to provide oversize and heavy haul shipment services and continue to expand the family business. Transportes Loro SA de CV was founded in 1999 with a fleet of two tractors and four leased trailers in the city of Reynosa, Tamaulipas. In order to serve our clients’ developing needs, and because the bulk of our clients have historically been in the Oil and Gas sector, Transportes Loro continued to grow from its original location in Reynosa, to five additional locations along the Gulf of Mexico, including Monterrey, NL, Tampico, Tam., Poza Rica, Ver., Veracruz, Ver., and Villahermosa, Tab. with an expanded fleet of approximately 300 tractors and 900 trailers of various kinds. In 2002, after noticing an unfulfilled client need for specialized cranes to assemble and dismantle oil rigs, we established a sister company, Petrogruas Industriales G&G to continue to provide the services our clients need.
In 2006, in order to provide full-service transportation domestically and internationally, Fermar Transport & Equipment was founded in Pharr, Texas. We provide door-to-door service throughout USA and Mexico and can pick-up and deliver across borders, without having your load change hands or, more importantly, change trailers. In 2021, FM began operating in Laredo, Texas and we currently operate with a fleet of approximately 30 tractors and 70 trailers, including double-schnable and wind blade trailers, specialized for wind tower transport.
We continuously strive to learn, grow, adapt, and enhance our labor and services in order to develop alongside our clients and provide them with an array of evolving services to meet their needs.

Additionally, we have offices in Laredo, Texas located at 8321 Las Cruces Dr, Laredo, TX 78045. In Mexico, Transporte LORO's main office and yard is in Reynosa, Tamaulipas at Libramiento Monterrey-Matamoros #1000, Col. Las Mitras, Cd. Reynosa, Tamaulipas. Additionally we have yard and office locations in Monterrey, NL, Tampico, Tam., Poza Rica, Ver., Veracruz, Ver., and Villahermosa, Tab.
